We are happy to invite you to the launch of the first issue of πΊπ»π¨π΄ ππππ, a collection of zines crafted by the American Studies undergraduate class of 2026 on the topics of their Bachelorβs theses!
During a seminar workshop held in December, our undergrad seniors crafted a creative version of their BA research, focusing on their primary sources (literature, movies and TV series, musicals, video games, pop and digital culture) and their vast array of methodologies that deal with gender, immigration, fan studies, publishing trends, and many more!
The event will take place on π π«π’πππ², ππ ππ©π«π’π₯ (ππ-ππππ¦, πππ πππ₯π₯). You will have the chance to peruse the zines ahead of the launch of a temporary exhibition in Room 4 (available to visit during library hours), and discuss a series of short documentaries on North-American zine-making (Dirty Girls, 2000; The Zine Documentary, 2022; Zined!, 1997).
Come along for a chance to socialize and discuss the fascinating practice of zine-making. All welcome!
