Procedure
By the end of the 2nd year of the BA program or the 1st year of the MA program, make sure you have selected a thesis topic and have registered with a supervisor. The supervisor will inform you of any other required steps.
Format
For American Studies majors, BA papers defended with the American Literature and Culture Board of Examiners must be at least 20-25 pages long, not including bibliography, table of contents, appendices, footnotes, and title pages.
For all other BA majors, papers defended with the American Literature and Culture Board of Examiners must be at least 40 pages long, not including bibliography, table of contents, appendices, footnotes, and title pages.
For American Studies MA students, papers defended with the American Literature and Culture Board of Examiners must be at least 40 pages long, not including bibliography, table of contents, appendices, footnotes, and title pages.
A page is understood to contain 2100 characters with spaces and the papers must comply with all provisions regarding academic integrity.
